Why does this article talk about the 2003 invasion of the Al Faw peninsula? Surely that is not appropriate to the page relating to the battle that is part of the Iran-Iraq war —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.8.103.82 (talk) 08:05, 19 September 2010 (UTC) ([reply]

Went looking for this since I realised I wasn't logged in when I added it. I think we need to look at removing the erroneous information until correct data can be found, but I would prefer if someone with more experience or knowledge did this properly.

Merging the article with Dawn 8[edit]

I think the two articles should be merged together. Both articles are talking about the same battle but First_Battle_of_al-Faw is more comprehensive. so I suggest to keep this article and redirect Operation Dawn 8 to this article.--F4fluids (talk) 15:36, 4 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This proposal seems to have been closed with no action, but its seems that it was a good idea, as the scope is greatly overlapping and so the topic is best dealt with one one page. Indeed, there are 3 such articles, all of which should be merged: First Battle of al-Faw, Operation Dawn 8 and Al Faw peninsula landings. Klbrain (talk) 09:36, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What's up with all the bracketed numbers?[edit]

I'm seeing a lot of bracketed [] numbers, but there aren't hyperlinked references, they are just text. What's up with that?

I guess that they were meant to be links to references copied from another source. They were created with this edit by Partridgeinapeartree who might be able to help resolve this question. Klbrain (talk) 13:06, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
