"Theatres need to count on the sales of overpriced soda pop, popcorn, and other treats, to profit from showing first run films."
Well - that's true, but not exactly neutral. Can we maybe say "Theatres rely on the sale of heavily marked-up concessions in order to make a profit on first-run film."?
