Interpretation heading[edit]

Should this be moved up the page somewhat? As an utter novice to the subject, the meaning behind the test is of greater immediate relevance than are the mechanisms. Handibles (talk) 12:21, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Further reading[edit]

I recommend the multiple comparison book by Tamhane & Hochberg. They have also worked with the wizards at the SAS Institute to publish a user-friendly guide (and also a workbook) on multiple comparisons. These sources should be authoritative and mainstream.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 10:13, 24 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Limitations of independent assumption[edit]

Moved the old block of text about "extension to dependent test statistics" to this new heading. Needs clean-up. --Bobthefish2 (talk) 05:37, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

One-sided vs two-sided p-values[edit]

I think the article would be improved by adding some information about whether to use one- or two-sided p-values and how this affects conclusions. Especially in comparison with Stouffer's method. Should one ever combine two-sided p-values if the effect direction is different in some of the tests? 130.237.191.205 (talk) 09:50, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion of a few example[edit]

I think the page would benefit from the inclusion of a few basic examples. I'd be happy to make the changes myself *but* I'm not sure I have the background in the topic to explain the process as I use it.

Why are equations suddenly not showing?[edit]

Something in Firefox? Found it: text color must be black. OveGjerlow (talk) 19:07, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
