Opposed to deletion[edit]

no — I believe that schools are notable in their own right as significant public institutions, and obviously, many people agree — see, for example, Category:Middle schools in Ottawa. I suspect that someone is trying to promote an agenda here by tagging a lot of schools with deletion tags, even when they've recently passed an AFD. See Glashan Public School for another example. I recommend speedy deletion of the AFD tags. David (talk) 11:57, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you object to the deletion, then leave a comment at the AfD debate, rather than adding a hangon tag. Hut 8.5 12:27, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

  • opposed — schools are notable in their own right, as major public institutions that have a lot of employees, affect a lot of people, and cost a lot of money. They beat out most subway stations on all three counts, and subway stations almost always have their own articles. Ditto for small country airports. (Note that the original proposer has not added any comment here yet.) David (talk) 22:17, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
