False deletion nomination

[edit]

The article does not contradict Wikipedia:Notability and its general notability guideline. It covers significant coverage (no original research), reliable sources, secondary sources, independent of the subject and presumed. If a article does not meet notability criteria, nominator can discuss here. --AntonTalk 08:19, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Then remove the tag! Really Not like it is a CSD It can be removed at Anytime. I only had a small Thought that it wasn't noteable Thanks! Dudel250 (talk) 08:21, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dudel250, I also very concern about Wiki's notability. FYI: This subject is not widely discussed in non-Tamil context. Even though, it have importance in their history. I hope to improve later, and I asked some Indian friends to expand further. Thanks for your understanding. --AntonTalk 08:36, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Indic Script

[edit]

Wikipedia clearly states to avoid the usage of india scripts in WP:INDICSCRIPT

also many parts of this article are in Tamil. This should be translated to English as most people reading this do not speak Tamil I have translated all Tamil potations of this article into English and removed Indic scripts, however my edits have been reverted with no summery provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.171.220.61 (talk) 12:41, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This dispute does not require administrator intervention.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:52, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You cannot translate since Wiki needs translation from reliable source. Therefore, the original source and literally meaning are added. WP:INDICSCRIPT was created for different purpose. --AntanO 13:17, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
See Satyameva Jayate that uses Devanāgarī. WP:INDICSCRIPT say "Exceptions are articles on the script itself, articles on a language that uses the script, and articles on texts originally written in a particular script." --AntanO 13:22, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
An example of bad edit. Ottakoothar is a Tamil poet as per references, but you twisted. This is disruptive edit. --AntanO 13:27, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This article is about a flag not language, script or text so the Satyameva Jayate comparison doesn't make sense. the quoted need to be translated. most other non english quotes in wikipedia are translated so this needs to follow the same pattern — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8806:403:5100:702A:D99A:CEF5:F3D1 (talk) 02:11, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't understand, ask others help. --AntanO 05:53, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

The title seems grammatically incorrect, or am I mistaken? Shouldn't this be titled "Flag of the Pandyas", "Flag of the Pandya kings", "Flag of the Pandyan dynasty", or something similar? – Scyrme (talk) 03:00, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
