This page certainly doesn't meet the criteria for patent nonsense. It is underdeveloped, but represents a genuine class of bacteria. My source is Bergey's Manual, 2001. I just don't feel like I've said anything that merits citation. The article deserves to stay so that it can be developed. Ninjatacoshell 00:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FlavobacteriaFlavobacteriia – Please put your reason for moving here. – 128.114.234.78 (talk) 22:24, 24 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:35, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The two refs state "-ii-", but it looks odd; do they continue an old typing error somewhere? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:35, 25 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move page immediately. The mispelling is in fact "Flavobacteria". The authority is Jean-François Bernardet who proposed the "ii" spelling, not only for this class, but also Sphingobacteriia, in 2011 (see the world's authority on such nomenclature here), and also revised a number of bacterial names. It was formally accepted in 2012, so it's not that strange. BTW, Taeniidae used to be called Taeneidae. Chhandama (talk) 15:04, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
