Was Fleur-De-Lys still sailing in 1904?

[edit]

There are three New York Times articles speaking of a pilot schooner yacht Fleur-de-Lys owned by Lewis Atterbury Stimson (father of Henry L. Stimson) alive and well, sailing to Palermo Sicily in May 1904 and even entering the Kaiser's cup race in 1905. Yet this article says it was a rotting derelict on a mud flat in Boston Harbor in February 1904, citing a Boston Globe article. Please address the inconsistency on the Lewis Atterbury Stimson Talk Page. ElijahBosley (talk) 14:42, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
