1964 Florida-LSU game[edit]

Based on personal recollection (I was rather young back then)...

The normal schedule for UF football during those years was to play Univ of Miami last (unless there was a bowl game). In 1964, the match with LSU had to be rescheduled due to a hurricane. The only place to reschedule it, was right after Thanksgiving. My remembrance was a very cold night in Baton Rouge, in a stadium mostly empty (because many of the season ticket holders could not make the later date). Might be worth a small mention in the article, as the schedule looks odd as-is.

Cosmic Ray, your personal memory is pretty darn good. That was Hurricane Hilda that plowed through Louisiana in late September 1964. I have been gradually writing and expanding short season summaries for each of the Ray Graves years, but I have not really added much for 1964 yet. I will be sure to include the Hurricane Hilda reference when I do. Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 03:27, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
