SR 880 is shown in the FDOT GIS data and pavement management reports. Please do not replace this with a redirect. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 20:39, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have a photo here of signage on 15 south/80 west at 880 (where 15 still ends) - it points 80 west straight and TO CR 880 left. Thus it appears SR 880 is unsigned due to its short length. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 20:43, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't assume any unsigned status based on one trailblazer (or lack thereof) - SR 970 doesn't have any indication at the Interstate 95 Downtown Miami exit, yet the road has reassurance signs. To be sure, we'll need to find a source that indicates its present state (other the the current ones we're using) or visit Belle Glade and see for ourselves. It wouldn't make sense to me for FDOT to remove all the reassurance signs from the former route of SR 880 and still keep the small piece of Southeast Avenue E as an unsigned SR 880. I wonder what the trailblazers on the southeastern end of SR 717 show vis-à-vis CR 880 and SR 880... B.Wind 18:27, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Two key questions about the photo - 1) When was it taken? Clearly SR 880 existed, at least prior to the 1990s; 2) What does the photo indicate about the existence and present location of SR 880? If there is speculation as to its location, perhaps the article should be tagged as such. 147.70.242.39 01:33, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And exactly which street in the Belle Glade area is it? I have found nothing that indicates the current configuration of SR 880 as you have attempted to describe it. Do you have a map that shows it - or the street name? That would help. As it is, I cannot confirm your description except that it exists. However, the maps I have contradict something else in your article: none of them show State Road 717 extending further east than its junction with SR 15-80 in Belle Glade. Do you have a map (or other reference) showing otherwise? 147.70.242.39 23:56, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks to a source that is sometimes derided by one of the FSR editors (maps.yahoo.com[1]), I was able to find a conclusive source for both the existence and location of SR 880 and the part of SR 717 east of SR 15/SR 80. I'll leave it to SPUI to expand the 880 article appropriately (and it should incorporate the length and original alignment of SR 880 as well). B.Wind 18:16, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

U.S. Route 441?

[edit]

According to Florida State Road 717, this road used to be part of US 441. Is that true? If so, then it should be included in this article. Allen (Morriswa) (talk) 06:01, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
