Past names[edit]

Yes, you generally have past team names in the infobox for convenience (same for past names of the school itself in cases where they exist), usually with the years the name was used in parenthesis. The infobox is a summary of the article, so it it's important enough to mention in the article text, there's no reason to not mention it in the infobox with the years it was used (so if a start year is available, that would be preferred...most high school athletic teams didn't use nicknames until the early 20th century). In this case, while it has been 21 years since "Demons" was used, it was used for a significant amount of time, so many historical sources will have the older team name. It makes it easier for people who may be looking for info on the school to verify that "Florida High Demons" is one in the same without having to search the entire article. --JonRidinger (talk) 14:56, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
