Population

[edit]

The population isn't correct, and doesn't match any of the estimates. It's also not likely for it to increase from 1,000 to 30,000 in 10 years. That would be equivalent to 20 or more 12 story condo buildings built in 10 years. I think you accidentally added an extra 0. See: http://flowerybranch.georgia.gov/05/home/0,2230,8887750,00.html;jsessionid=6E4C27FD9FBCD85A8DE0AEB909A7BD07 - I'll change it to what's listed on the census 2008 estimates (3,991) located at http://www.census.gov/popest/cities/files/SUB-EST2008-ALL.csv Netdragon (talk) 23:23, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some user corrected the population to 5,679, which is valid from the official 2010 Census. It's sometimes a common mistake for certain websites to post their community's population based on zip-code. If all areas within the zip-code of 30542 were to be incorporated, then Flowery Branch would have a population in excess of 40,000. It's not a big deal. It's a common mistake that can be reversed. Let's just agree to only count "incorporated" areas from now on, okay?Madd0817 (talk) 19:30, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Another website showing different population

[edit]

Why does this website put the population at 31,619, and this page says 3,998?

Probably because of an error in its database. It's not a reliable source as far as Wikipedia is concerned. Graham87 03:57, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As of the 2010 Census, a verifiable source has updated the population to 5,679. You need to understand that many areas with a Flowery Branch address are still unincorporated, thus they are not officially part of the statistics. I think the same goes for many of the communities in unincorporated areas of Georgia. Madd0817 (talk) 19:32, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
