What about his interactions with David Brower in Encounters with The Archdruid? Stale Fries 07:12, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Apparatchik" is a very specific term that applied to Soviet functionaries. I find it hard to believe that — even given modern usage — it is appropriate to apply it to Floyd Dominy. --SVTCobra (talk) 02:41, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The current article (29 April 2010) appears in significant part to have been copied verbatim from the Washington Post obituary. Is this considered acceptable on Wikipedia? 98.165.73.142 (talk) 05:41, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is about providing accurate and detailed bigraphical information on notable histroical figures. What better place to get accurate biographical and life timeline information on a noteable subject than by using the printed obituary in a reputable newspaper? The obit in the Post is detailed and accurate. Before the eidt that included this information, his wikipedia article was 3 lines long. That isn't biographical information!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.215.254.80 (talk) 11:54, 3 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Back to three lines, unfortunately. Maybe look in Cadillac Desert, a book that focuses on the agency he ran, for info — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.102.227.69 (talk) 11:02, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
