"Apparatchik" is a very specific term that applied to Soviet functionaries. I find it hard to believe that — even given modern usage — it is appropriate to apply it to Floyd Dominy. --SVTCobra (talk) 02:41, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
The current article (29 April 2010) appears in significant part to have been copied verbatim from the Washington Post obituary. Is this considered acceptable on Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is about providing accurate and detailed bigraphical information on notable histroical figures. What better place to get accurate biographical and life timeline information on a noteable subject than by using the printed obituary in a reputable newspaper? The obit in the Post is detailed and accurate. Before the eidt that included this information, his wikipedia article was 3 lines long.
