Floyd Thornton Martin[edit]

His surname is Martin, not Thornton, although the British film industry and magazines of the time appear to have his name as F. Martin Thornton. I discovered the inconsistency when I added the image of a New Deal painting at the Smithsonian, credited to Floyd Thornton Martin. I've done some cursory research and all the essential information I've found matches Martin, not Thornton. He's undoubtedly better known for his films, and BFI has him down as F. Martin Thornton — I also found a 1918 magazine referring to him by that name — so I'm stopping short of moving the article. — WFinch (talk) 18:13, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
