Taking a look at this. Harrias talk 09:17, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lead
  • "..of the 1939/1940 New York World's Fair and also hosted the 1964/1965 New York World's Fair." Either use the page titles "1939 New York World's Fair" and "1964 New York World's Fair", or per the MOS, use 1939–1940 and 1964–1965.  Done
  • "..provide additional funds, and services, and support." Superfluous "and"; should be "..provide additional funds, services, and support."  Already done
Etymology
  • The first images sandwiches text between itself and the infobox, drop it a bit lower in the article to avoid this.  Already done
History
  • Per MOS:CENTURY don't capitalise century: so switch to "19th century", "17th century" etc.  Done
  • "..which inhabited costal wetlands".. typo.  Done
  • "..establishing the Town of Newtown.." and later "..and the Town of Flushing.." Lower-case for "town" unless there is a compelling reason not to.  Done
  • "..the Flushing Meadow site.." It is referred to as "Meadows" plural elsewhere in the article. Be consistent.  Done
  • "British saloon-keeper Harry Hill would build the.." Change "would build" to "built".  Done
  • "used by today's 7 <7> trains" Should this be "used by today's 7 and <7> trains"?  Already done, issue with template.
  • "..facilitating a Polio outbreak.." Polio doesn't need to be capitalised.  Done
  • "..around 300 acres of the 1000 acre.." Put in convert templates.  Done
  • "..and later squattors.." Spelling: "squatters"  Done
  • "..the 1964/1965 World's Fair.." As above, switch this to an endash.  Done
  • "..named "Flushing Meadows-Corona Park".." Switch the hyphen to an endash.  Done
  • "..was moved from the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills to Flushing Meadows Corona Park." Missing the dash from the park name.  Done
Description
  • Another pinch is created between the "Aerial views of the fair grounds during the 1964 World's Fair." and the "Attractions and Geographical Features of Flushing Meadows–Corona Park", but it is quite minimal, and I'm not too bothered by it, unless there is a logical place to move one of the three images around this area (Meadow Lake being the third).  Done
  • "..continues to effect the park." Should be affect, not effect.  Done
  • "Invasive Phragmites are also abundant." Despite the wikilink, it might be worth clarifying inline what "Phragmites" are. Simply saying "Invasive phragmites (grasses) are also.." could work. Also switch to lower-case.  Done
  • "..14.5-foot sloop-rigged sailboats.." Convert template needed.  Done
  • "..to the Brooklyn-Queens Greenway." Should be an endash.  Already done
  • "..failed conversion to a firehouse.." What is a firehouse?  Done
    • Done, but I'm surprised this term wasn't more popular. It's the U.S. term for a fire station.
      • Ha, I figured it was that or some sort of steak restaurant! Harrias talk 09:27, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • "..serves the 7 <7> trains.." As above.  Already done
  • "..are located the northern end.." Missing a word; "..are located at the northern end.."  Already done
References
  • Refs #6, #7, #11, #14, #16 need access dates. I'm going to stop checking these; but check the remainder of the references for this too.  Done
  • Ref #12 has incomplete page details: "pp. 5716–"  Done

Overall this is a really good article, which I found very interesting. Pretty much all the points I've got are very minor prose points that will be easily solved. Great work. Harrias talk 10:56, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Harrias: Thank you for the review. I will fix all of these. Ironically, one of the biggest problems I have to fix is the "7 <7>" issue you pointed out. It's a problem with {{NYCS br}}, and I need to fix over 200 articles. epicgenius (talk) 16:45, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've fixed most of the issues you highlighted. My thanks to Kew Gardens 613 for fixing some of these issues. epicgenius (talk)
Great work, no problem passing this GA now. Harrias talk 09:27, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
