I'm making some changes to this; all minor. I am, for example, removing the note that Vai uses legato as no guitar has ever been played for more than five minutes without a legato being played on it. The technique is too ubiquitous to be worth putting in the entry. JamesMcGuiggan (talk) 23:40, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Legato as a technique, although not a new idea, hadnt really been used to such an extreme until shredders started sliding around the neck like crazymutherfuckers, and this track is a perfect example of slides being used as a musical effect.
