Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Ramanand (talk) 13:09, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Forbes Marshall is one of India's leading companies and also voted one of its top 10 companies to work for by the Economic Times of India newspaper (see http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/slideshows/work-career/indias-top-10-best-companies-to-work-for/forbes-marshall/slideshow/20739907.cms). It is a 60-year old company with joint ventures with several companies around the world. I'll add more details on the company soon - looking for more secondary sources.

I've closed the speedy deletion tag on the article because of the Times of India source (and I've heard of them). However, just being a good company to work for isn't really enough to sustain an article. Sitush might know something more about their newspaper archives, and if you can ferret out 60 years worth of sustained news coverage (providing it exists!) the article should be worthy of inclusion. I know nothing about ToI archives other than what is evident on their home page, sorry. That might get you back 8 years if so, if you are lucky. I'll have a think about other potential sources. - Sitush (talk) 16:35, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I know nothing about the article or the company other than they're a big engineering behemoth in Pune that probably shouldn't go to AfD. But thanks for taking a look. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:27, 20 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
