Story[edit]

My friends and I used to climb down onto the top of the conrete piers once the bridge was completed. The state and federal government spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the Auburn dam project, the lake of which this bridge was to span. The dam footings can be seen further down the canyon and were actually poured. Also believe that the divergence tunnels were at least started as well as the coufer dam. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.112.161.7 (talk) 17:14, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Location[edit]

No way is the bridge between Auburn and Georgetown, nor Auburn and Cool. The bridge, as the name implies, lies between Auburn and Foresthill on the North fork of the American river. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.231.202.58 (talkcontribs)

Please provide a map or other source for that information before this turns into an edit war. Thanks. -Fsotrain09 20:36, 4 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Retrofit?[edit]

There is some talk about how much it will cost to retrofit the bridge, but never states anything else about a retrofit. 'The' retrofit needs to be talked about in more depth, deleted or maybe rephrased. Entire text concerning 'the' retrofit is included below.

"The retrofit will cost between 60-70 million dollars." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.57.77.39 (talk) 07:24, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Roadway[edit]

I think it would useful to specify the freeway/streetname that is on the bridge. Alvincura (talk) 22:39, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
