Regulation of lifespan by neural excitation and REST

A key quote from the Zullo et al paper is REST, SPR-3, SPR-4 and reduced excitation activate the longevity-associated transcription factors FOXO1 and DAF-16 in mammals and worms, respectively. It seems to me that the association of FOXO1 & reduced excitation of neurons is entirely missing from this article.
