Coordinate error
[edit]The coordinates need the following fixes:
- Write here
50N 41' 24.83" 121W 55' 28.73" 142.179.26.222 (talk) 05:39, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- 50°41′25″N 121°55′29″W / 50.69028°N 121.92472°W is the format - {{coord|50|41|25|N|121|55|29|W}} What is your source for these coordinates: I've seen Swannell's sketch-map of the site of Fort Berens, don't recall if it was in LD survey or latlong coords, don't know of any other primary source for same.Skookum1 (talk) 14:44, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
- The coordinates in use are those in the BCGNIS ref; the only other source, which is reprinted-by-hand in Edwards' book, the other site, gives exact surveyor's measurements/locations, but BCGNIS is teh "standard" for wikipedia coordinates, unless a more accurate primary source (and onlyi a primary source) can trump it.Skookum1 (talk) 03:47, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
