Forest of Dean[edit]

References in this entry to the Forest of Dean company incorrectly attribute the mining operations of iron and other metals. The company that actually mined ore is known as the Stirling Iron Works in American history - the contemporary Stirling Forest is where those mines were located. The Forest of Dean mine was a short lived offshoot in the Turkey Hill Lake area which had only smelted ore in it's foundry, not mined it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.134.26.34 (talk) 05:50, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
