I'll review this article shortly.--Tomobe03 (talk) 18:19, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • No disambiguation links (no action required)
  • External links are in order (no action required)
  • There is a couple of duplicate links in the article which need be removed per WP:OVERLINK. Those are: RML 17.72 inch gun and Southport Gates.
  • All image licences are fine, except the "Gibraltar from the North Bastion coloured.jpg" need have US PD tag added. It is obviously too old to be copyrighted, but please just add the PD tag.
  • Referencing seems to be in order (no action requried)

MOS:

  • Units of measurement should be spelled out in this type of article per WP:UNIT (using abbr=off parameter in the {{convert}} templates.
  • Ellipses in the article are represented as three spaced dots, which is not recommended per MOS:ELLIPSIS. The MOS recommends non-spaced dots, but this is not a dealbreaker at this (GA) level.
  • Single digit numbers should be spelled out per WP:ORDINAL. In instance of ...only 3 m (9.8 ft) above sea level... where a {{convert}} template is normally used, it is possible to apply {{convert/spell }} template. When using the template, note that there is a space following "spell" and preceding the first parameter pipe.
  • Year ranges should be written according to MOS:YEAR. For instance instead of ...(written around 1370–1)..., there should be ...(written around 1370–71)...
  • In It mounted twelve 32-pounder guns and ten eight-inch howitzers... there should be a {{convert/spell }} template for the eight-inch (using adj=on parameter instead of abbr=off). There are further similar examples in the sections covering the 19th and the 20th centuries
  • "pounder" is sometimes abbreviated to "pdr" and sometimes spelled out. Since only four of the abbreviations are grouped relatively closely I'd recommend expanding the abbreviations to full words per WP:UNIT as well as MOS:ABBR. This would also achieve a consistent use of the pounder/pdr in the article.
  • According to MOS:HYPHEN, a hanging hyphen should be used in ...including iron-cast 6, 12 and 18-pdrs... as ...including iron-cast 6-, 12- and...

Prose:

  • Perhaps it would be prudent to add (later renamed the South Mole) after the first mention of the New Mole, especially since the term South Mole is not introduced elsewhere and the article on the mole indicates that is its common name now.

Great article! There are very few things to mend - most of them having to do with conversion of units and a number of other MOS-related issues which should be simple to fix. Outstanding work!--Tomobe03 (talk) 12:52, 16 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Tomobe! I should be able to get through those later today. Prioryman (talk) 07:55, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry I took a bit longer than anticipated. It should all be done now. Prioryman (talk) 23:06, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Added a few tweaks - all good to go.--Tomobe03 (talk) 11:13, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
