Redirects[edit]

Unfortunately, unwarranted merging of articles on bridge has already resulted in silly redirects. (E.g. for some strange reason, Fourth suit forcing has been redirected to Game try). JocK 18:14, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Fourth suit forcing redirects to Game try? Oh my... Duja 07:09, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've created a new article Fourth suit forcing convention. 11:23, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I redirected Fourth suit forcing there and put the new one to Wikipedia:Requested moves to the former. (Hint: you can edit the redirect from the link to redirected-to article. For example, you will get an editable link from Fourth suit forcing now.
Could you please cut & paste contents of Fourth suit forcing convention into Fourth suit forcing? (if I do that, your edits would not be properly attributed in the edit history).Duja 13:28, 30 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I initially redirected Fourth suit forcing to Game try for two reasons: because it is a bid designed primarily to find the best game contract and because there was not an article on that subject. Surely this is a good way to start by including 'topics' either as part of the glossary or as part of a larger coverall article with a redirect ... when someone feels thay can produce the start of a good article as JocK has then progress is made. Copy-past move repair[edit]

I have repaired thye copy-past move. Please check if the current version is correct. -- Kim van der Linde at venus 12:44, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, but I fail to see what was wrong with that copy-paste move – I am aware that it's highly discouraged, but I advised the sole contributor to Fourth suit forcing convention to do a copy/paste to this one, just so that his contributions were properly attributed. The straightforward move was impossible because the previous version had only 3 minor edits as a redirect. Duja 13:37, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
