Phalacrocorax[edit]

I just created this page, and used the genus name Phalacrocorax solely to be consistent with the current Wikipedia naming convention for Cormorants. It makes no sense, of course, as the newly-published description classifies it under Leucocarbo; I gather there's now DNA evidence to back up the splitting of Phalacrocorax into multiple genera. There are suggestions on Talk:Cormorant to amend the listing to include Leucocarbo, Stictocarbo, etc, but I would rather leave it to someone else to tackle that job and update all the affected Phalacrocorax articles.
