Fox House is a hamlet in the Peak District?

[edit]

Is Fox House really a Hamlet? Fox House Inn is a public house which stands apart from other dwellings, the nearest being Longshaw Lodge (and outbuildings), now converted into flats. They are described as being at Longshaw. [1] The only other nearby property is Parson House Farm, which does not use the wording 'Fox House' in its address. [2] . A review of the nearby farm's accomodation gives the address as Parson House Farm B&B, Longshaw, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, with no mention of Fox House as an area. [3] The pub's own webpage describes its address as The Fox House, Hathersage Road, Longshaw, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S11 7TY, without any mention of an area called Fox House. [4] The place name 'Fox House' doesn't appear on the OS map, except as 'Fox House Inn'. For an OS map see the geograph page [5] Click on the 1:50,000 map to change scale. How do others feel about either renaming this article 'Fox House Inn', or, if not notable, deleting it? 86.128.69.26 (talk) 02:09, 1 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would agree with the move after further review, making reference to the Inn and surrounding outhouses being Grade II listed and referencing [6]. Copper1993 (talk) 20:13, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
