Did Frederic Sinistra have an underlying disease or condition?
[edit]I'm wondering how this kick boxers has died. In the article it says he has an oxygen tank at home so i wonder if had a asthma or an other condition. 37.99.46.19 (talk) 13:02, 16 January 2022 (UTC)
Sportskeeda reference
[edit]Sportskeeda is widely cited as a source within Wikipedia, and is not listed at WP:RSP as a source for which the reliability has been questioned. I am inclined to restore the reference, absent evidence of reliability issues. BD2412 T 06:42, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
- Just bumping this request. Is there any specifc basis for doubting the reliability of the source? BD2412 T 00:29, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- What concerned me was that the writer of the Sportskeeda article in question seemed to depend on Wikipedia as a source: "Since he does not have a Wikipedia page, further details on his family and educational background have not been disclosed." Given this, and the seriousness of the claim being made, I'd rather use a source stronger than this one for the vaccination claim. I apologise both for not being clear enough in my edit summary - my concerns were primarily with the article as it doesn't really fill me with confidence, but my summary was much more ambiguous; I've not checked the general reliability of Sportskeeda - as well as my delay in replying; I've been very busy lately. - Thanks for explaining, this makes sense. BD2412 T 20:32, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

Newsweek can be usable
[edit]WP:RSP says that Newsweek is a RS before 2013, but that after 2013 "consensus is to evaluate Newsweek content on a case-by-case basis." For uncontroversial information, it is good enough. If the information is controversial, in the sense that it contradicts other RS, it should not be used, but if it is in sync with other RS, it can be used, but the other sources might be preferable to use instead of, or along with, Newsweek. Clickbaity headlines do not automatically make the content unreliable. -- Valjean (talk) 15:32, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
What does "39-9 career" mean?
[edit]Sinistra "won several world and European heavyweight kickboxing titles throughout his 39-9 career"

Anti-vaccine kickboxer
[edit]He was known as an anti-vaccine kickboxer, but we don't mention this in the lead. Why? A single sentence stating this should be included there. I propose this:
- "Sinistra was unvaccinated and an anti-vaccine denier of COVID-19 who would not acknowledge he had COVID-19, checked himself out of the hospital, and died of COVID-19 complications."
The sources in the body of the article back up this description. Pinging BD2412. -- Valjean (talk) 15:46, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- I would certainly have no objection to such language. Sinistra, in the end, was as notable for how he died as he was for his sports career. BD2412 T 17:49, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
