Exterior Signs of Wealth

[edit]

The "not" writing is pretty confusing for people unfamiliar with the subject. I've found some links to a Harper's Magazine interview (here), some explanation or a reference (hopefully to something better than what I've found) would be helpful to clarify the "not" writing. 195.177.83.221 (talk) 10:12, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life?

[edit]

Not very much about her personal life and family history. Relationships? parents? children? etc? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.72.159.156 (talk) 15:02, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

The article does not say she is Jewish, lesbian, progressive, feminist, or Democrat. However, categories did. I have therefore commented out these categories. Anyone wanting to bring them back should add relevant material, reliably sourced of course, to the article text. -- Hoary (talk) 00:47, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Life and career?

[edit]

The career portion of the section is sparse and needs updating. NOTE: This article has been reverted by a bot. See "Copyright problem " for more information. Fran has also appeared on various TV shows including new late night appearances not currently noted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.16.12.72 (talk) 05:05, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This stub about an unfinished book seems to fail Wikipedia:Notability (book). The coverage this book received is only in passing. I think the best move would be to merge the two sentences this stub has here. When the book is published, if ever, it can be recreated. Thoughts? Also ping User:Tokyogirl79 who commented at a related Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Progress (book). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:46, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. A search brought up little to show that this unpublished is notable enough for its own entry, or that it's really overly notable for not being published. I don't even see where the claim "achieved a level of media fame for not finishing it over many years", given that it's so infrequently mentioned as a whole. I've removed this from the article accordingly, as the supporting sources mention the book but don't actually say that this is why they interviewed her. Honestly, the interviews/articles seem to be about her career as a whole, with the book only getting an offhand mention at one point in the article in the same way that most authors' unreleased work gets mentioned. It can be restored once the book releases and gains enough coverage, if it ever does. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:48, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
