The biography of Garnet Wolseley by Halik Kochanski says that Louisa Wolseley received "a surprise visit" by their daughter, Frances, whom she then refused to see, when Louisa lived at Hampton Court in 1919. The ODNB biography of Frances, however, states that she lived with Louisa at Massetts Place, near Lindfield, from 1913 until 1921. I do not know what to make of this. Any ideas, DuncanHill? Hmm, the ODNB article for Garnet says "His widow died on 10 April 1920 at her grace-and-favour apartment in Hampton Court Palace (where in 1917 she had an oratory created in Wolseley's memory)... ". Can't come up with anything more at the moment. DuncanHill (talk) 19:23, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
