Is this person Zaake Francis, or Francis Zaake[edit]

When I google this person, most references call him Francis Zaake? [1] Britishfinance (talk) 21:25, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the BBC calling him Francis Zaake, twice! [2] [3]. Britishfinance (talk) 17:53, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are right, and that Francis Zaake is the correct name in English. When I recreated this the first source that I used was the parliament web site, which says Zaake Francis, but looking at other MPs' profiles it seems that that site always puts the family name first. It may be that in Zaake's native language eastern name order is used, but it is normal in English in countries that were formerly occupied by the British to use western name order. That was why I was also not sure whether this still should be changed - what do you think, should be swap to Francis Zaake? Britishfinance (talk) 19:06, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think we should, as we go by what is commonly used in English. Eastern name order is used in English for Chinese names, but in most other areas where eastern name order is used in the native language the name is rendered in English in western name order. It might be worth waiting a few days before moving in case an editor from Uganda can show that I am wrong in this case. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:08, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed Lets come back in a week's time and if there is nothing we will move; we can leave the re-direct there just in case. Britishfinance (talk) 20:13, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
