My folks had one of these from 1948 to sometime in the mid 50s when it lost a piston on a trip from Pennsylvania back to Arlington.
The door opening buttons were a menace. They were too easy to pop open with an accidental elbow nudge. As a kid, I fell out twice, once in a parking lot at Fort Myer and a second time at fair speed around a curve out in the county. Good deal of road rash, but no permanent damage.
