Primary topic[edit]

Was there consensus on listing Freaks as a second primary topic here? If so, I don't understand why The Freak isn't one. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 16:55, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As I understand it consensus is only sought when there has been debate/disagreement about the wording of a particular section in an article or, in this case, a dab page. The nearest most edits come to consensus is that no-one disagrees with them sufficiently to challenge them and that is the case here. My view on the first point you raise is that Freaks is a primary topic because it varies only slightly from the title of the page and there are other articles (band, song etc) that could be confused with it (in other words it could have its own dab page but, as we normally do with plurals, we have combined it with the singular). As to The Freaks, you will notice that this is in the "see also" section which is because it is not as closely related to "freak" as is "freaks"; it does not belong on the dab page proper but is listed only because some readers may mistakenly omit the "the" - therefore it cannot be a primary topic on this page. I hope this helps. Abtract (talk) 17:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the Smashing Pumpkins' song 'Freak' listed as a result Twice??? 62.171.198.9 (talk) 12:45, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
