Roosevelt[edit]

Toy's retirement notice published in the New York Times in January 1911 (retired October 1910) states he served as an orderly to Theodore Roosevelt. His obituary published in the Niagara Falls Gazette, local to his residence, in August 1933 does not mention this assignment. I lean toward the local paper, even if the publication is more than twenty years later.--Georgia Army Vet Contribs Talk 20:55, 15 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
