Question[edit]

I'm sure I recall a situation in which a player fouled by accidentally snookering an opponent behind a ball they'd played as a free-ball - trying to pot a baulk colour into the middle pocket but causing it to rebound off an angle, I think. Can anyone remember more precise detail?

re: If you decide to use a colour as a red(or whatever colour you're on) in a free ball situation you can't snooker the opponent behind the ball you nominate.
Also in unrelated matters you should add to this article that if the legitimate ball is a red but another red is obstructing your path through to the red you can hit on both sides, then it isnt a free ball.
