Untitled[edit]

I have respectfully removed the merge suggestion. {{Mergeto|Religion in Thailand|date=March 2008}} There are attempts to establish Buddhism as the state religion, which could severely restrict the religious freedom of other faiths. The Queen made a statement recently defending religious freedom in Thailand for Buddhists, Christians, Muslims and others. With the unrest in the south of Thailand, I will follow it, and try to revise and update this article. Rak-Tai (talk) 04:20, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Buddhism as the state religion is not new. It was enshrined as such in constitutions prior to the 1997 one. --Paul_012 ^(talk) 15:38, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Religion Abuse[edit]

History?[edit]

There have been greater or lesser degrees of religious freedom at least since King Narai, but I don't know that an historical perspective would be appropriate for this article as presently written.--Pawyilee (talk) 07:00, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
