Little to quibble about here, given I've already had a look at one of this class and those amendments have been made here where relevant. I have a few comments:

  • you could put the ordered date and cost in the infobox
  • suggest "Later that month, once her engine repairs were completed, Dupleix was transferred to Penang in the British Straits Settlements to reinforce the French destroyers patrolling the Strait of Malacca."
    • Can't; she went to Penang first as her engines were repaired there. So obviously not fully immobilized, though details are lacking.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:13, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
      • What about "Later that month, Dupleix was transferred to Penang in the British Straits Settlements, where her engine repairs were completed and she reinforced the French destroyers patrolling the Strait of Malacca."? Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 22:37, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
          • That implies that the repairs were begun before she went to Penang and I'm not sure that that's true. Corbett first says that she was transferred to Penang to reinforce the French DDs there because her engines were so defective that she couldn't participate in the hunt for Emden in Sept. And his next mention was that she was under repair around mid-month. About 10 days later, she's mentioned as escorting a French ship. I think that my original wording nicely summarizes the limited amount of info available, so what bothers you about it?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:31, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
            • Because it is unclear, and can be read different ways, including that her repairs were completed before she was transferred to Penang (which is how I read it initially), or that the repairs were carried out after she got to Penang (which is how I worded it in my second suggestion). The chronology you have given seems to me to be consistent with the second wording (Penang, repairs, patrols), which actually doesn't imply that her repairs were begun before she went to Penang, quite the opposite. • Saying that the repairs were completed implies that they were begun earlier, i.e. before she arrived at Penang. The neutral way to phrase it would be that "her engines were repaired". Let me play with it and see what I can do.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:02, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • 6th DL in full at first mention

That's it. Placing on hold for these minor things to be addressed. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 09:30, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for looking this over.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 14:13, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
