Where are the Astacidae?
[edit]Hi, the Astacidae family is comprised of several freshwater crab genus, whihc are endemic in Europe, yet I don't see them in this article. Is this just an omission or is there a reason for not listing them here? Thanks for clarifying. Viktorhauk (talk) 14:12, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Astacidae contains crayfish, not crabs (Brachyura). Both are crustaceans, and I believe they share a common name in many languages (the constellation Cancer is often shown as a crayfish in older depictions, for instance), but they are not especially closely related to each other. --Stemonitis (talk) 18:14, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
