Improved to Good Article status by Sturmvogel 66 (talk). Nominated by Onegreatjoke (talk) at 23:44, 1 April 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Friedrichshafen FF.1; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • Relatively small article, but meets length criteria and meeting of GA criteria implicates DYK pass. Article was nominated within seven days of passing GAR. This is probably the only possible hook about this subject – not sure what else you can say about a plane that only had one prototype built that crashed – but I do think it's interesting enough for the main page. AGF on offline source used for hook. QPQ has been completed. Morgan695 (talk) 02:44, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: I think the credits are wrong, so I will try to correct. Bruxton (talk) 19:07, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This museum website calls it a world record. "On February 24, 1913, the FF 1, flown by Swiss pilot Robert Gsell, set a world record for flight duration with a flight of 2 hours and 32.5 minutes. In 1914, the FF 1 was destroyed in a landing accident. Only the one prototype was built." Bruxton (talk) 19:21, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Onegreatjoke: Seems like there is another ALT in there.

@Onegreatjoke, Morgan695, and Sturmvogel 66: Wanted to see if any of you like the hook I proposed ALT1. Bruxton (talk) 13:59, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I guess it's fine. Onegreatjoke (talk) 16:26, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Morgan695: can I ask you to look at ALT1 and see if you can approve it? Bruxton (talk) 18:22, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Bruxton: Looks fine to me. Morgan695 (talk) 20:18, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cielquiparle: I did proposed a hook and it has approval, so please review for possible promotion. Whichever hook you like. Bruxton (talk) 22:46, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
