Tic-Tac-Toe[edit]

hrwiki.org says that the tic-tac-toe game is unwinnable against the computer. What, it always goes first?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.21.221 (talkcontribs) 01:09, 14 April 2007

I don't ever recall winning. However, I believe that tic-tac-toe is one of those games that is always going to end in stalemate if you're careful -- it's literally an unwinnable game. /Blaxthos 08:58, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was the one that wrote that on hrwiki.org, and yes, Friendlyware tic-tac-toe was unwinnable. In fact, the software explicitly said so in the instructions. It's actually not difficult to learn to play a perfect tic-tac-toe game every time, regardless of who goes first. ("Perfect" meaning that all games you play result in either a win or a tie; see Tic-tac-toe#Strategy.) The Friendlyware version allowed the player to choose who goes first. Move to "FriendlyWare"[edit]

In addition to being capitalized as such on the programs' title screen, the name is almost always capitalized as "FriendlyWare" on the provided sources for the article. As we strive to make our titles accurate if they're based on a particular work, we should move the page over to the intended capitalization. 2601:3C8:817F:BFD0:1538:382A:E59:49A (talk) 19:26, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
