Proposed merge with Fritz Schlumpf

[edit]

Notable on their own, doubtful as their fame is predominately pre-internet but but as a pair, yes. Donnie Park (talk) 09:11, 7 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Andy Dingley: Support merge: the problem I haven't been able to resolve is what to do with the Authority control template in such a merge; perhaps leave it with the individual pages, rather on the merged page ... but then, they're unlikely to be useful to most readers. I'm not sure how you can generate two templates on a page. Klbrain (talk) 21:36, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'd suggest asking at Help_talk:Authority_control. I've no idea myself. Andy Dingley (talk) 21:41, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've asked at Template talk:Authority control#Two authority controls on a page?. Klbrain (talk) 00:09, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I've tagged the Cité de l'Automobile page with the above proposal; if there are no objections then I suggesting merging to Cité de l'Automobile as proposed above. Klbrain (talk) 14:42, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
They're two notable industrialists, and a big part of the economic history of their town. They're somewhat inseparable (so is Maman Schlumpf), so they don't work well as two separate articles, but they do meet our policies for stand-alone bios on businesspeople. The collapse and nationalisation [sic] of their business is particularly interesting. If merged to Cité de l'Automobile, they'd be either a tiny uninteresting footnote, or else WP:UNDUE for an article which ought to be about the current museum. OK; going with the initial plan to merge the pages for the 2 brothers.   checkY Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 08:31, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
