What is the correct date for first broadcast? The article uses both Dec 7th and Dec 14th 1969. The CBS site (http://www.cbs.com/specials/frosty/) says Dec 7, 1969 ...69.165.140.110 (talk) 12:46, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June Foray's contribution[edit]

I've been watching four of these -- uh -- "classic" shows on Blu-ray for an Amazon review. It's obvious that Karen is not performed by June Foray. Not only doesn't Karen's voice sound anything like Foray's, but there's at least one point where Karen's voice has music playing behind it. To have replaced June Foray's voice with someone else's would have required locating the dialog and music stems and re-mixing that sequence. That's a lot of work to avoid resolving a contract issue in Ms Foray's favor. [1]

The Blu-ray transfer (I've never seen the others) has Ms Foray as the school teacher and one of the male students (using her "Rocky" voice). I suspect this is the way it's always been, and the confusion arose over the assumption that the producers wouldn't have hired June Foray unless they intended to use her as Karen. But they apparently did.

[1] I assume this is the presumed issue. At the time Frosty was made, June Foray had been in show business for 30 years, and was an admired voice actress. There is no evidence in the film that Hinkle locks Frosty in the greenhouse[edit]

User 67.249.216.131 recently edited the Plot section so that the last sentence of the 3rd paragraph would read: However, Hinkle has followed them on foot and he closes the door after Frosty and Karen go inside instead of: However, Hinkle has followed them on foot and he locks Frosty and Karen inside. 67.249.216.131's explanation for the edit was: "there is no evidence in the show that Hinkle locks the door, and in any case doors never lock from the outside". Binksternet reverted the edit, explaining: "Greenhouses lock from outside". While it may be true that (some) greenhouses lock from the outside, a viewing of the Frosty film shows that 67.249.216.131 was right in saying that there is no evidence that Hinkle locks the door (he simply closes the door). Nor, indeed, is there any evidence that Frosty had unlocked the door when he had entered (he simply opens it), or any evidence that Santa unlocks the door (he simply opens it). So Binksternet reverting of 67.249.216.131's edit was totally unjustified, & the purported fact that (some) greenhouses lock from the outside is simply irrelevant. To state that Hinkle locks Frosty and Karen inside is an embellishment that is simply not substantiated by the actual film. I've reverted ClueBot NG's 18 Dec 2016 edit, which, without explanation or evidence, changed Hinkle has followed them on foot and he closes the door after Frosty and Karen go inside to Hinkle has followed them on foot and locks the door after Frosty and Karen go inside. To repeat (from above), there is exactly zero evidence in the film that Hinkle locks the greenhouse door. TruthPolice (talk) 05:08, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A Question in Animation[edit]

It's been 49 years since Frosty the Snowman premiered on CBS on December 7th, 1969. Even Tom and Jerry: The Movie (1992, 1993) is over 25-years old around the world. For many fans' sake, when will Warner Bros. Animation ever plan on developing and producing a retelling of the 1969 Rankin/Bass TV special with the addition of Tom and Jerry for a new direct-to-DVD feature film, that would take place months after the events of the cat and mouse duo's first movie adventure — the time when they have safely returned a girl named Robyn Starling back to her father, and now lives with them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.57.136 (talk) 03:24, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tom and Jerry crossover film[edit]

It's been two years since Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was released on DVD and Digital. When will Turner Entertainment and Warner Bros.
