Why is the air craft crash controversial?
Recently a paragraph was added to the Controversies section about an air craft crash in Saskatoon. While the crash is unfortunate, there doesn't appear to be anything controversial about it. I'm not sure that it belongs in this section (or even in the article at all).
Disclosure: I am an employee of Fugro, but not of Fugro Aviation Canada. Any views expressed are my own personal views, not those of the company. 203.59.160.60 (talk) 12:44, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Current position of Klaas Wester
According to the lead paragraph and infobox, Klaas Wester is CEO. However according to this page on Fugro's web site he was "President until 1 January 2012" and according to the 2011 Annual Report he was "President and CEO of the Board of Management until 31 December 2011". According to the company profile on Euronext, Arnold Steenbakker is the CEO (at 28 March 2012); according to the Annual Report, Steenbakker is "Chairman Board of Management as of 1 January 2012".
The article probably should be updated accordingly. Mitch Ames (talk) 11:00, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
Company history
The 2011 Annual Report (or the shorter summary) include several pages describing the history of the company - this being its 50th year. There may be merit in someone creating a brief History section in the article, using the Annual Report as a source - I'm not sure whether this would violate WP:ABOUTSELF. Controversies - not
The "Controversies" section includes two stories:
- an airplan crash
- an employee being electrocuted in a hotel shower
These events were unfortunate accidents, but there's nothing to suggest that they are controversial. I propose that they should be deleted. 124.148.68.177 (talk) 06:53, 16 March 2013 (UTC)
