Thanks to whomever put the link to Gatchaman. I didn't know how to do that. :)
Aired where?
[edit]I know this sounds like a near impossible task, but I am interested in which title was aired where in the US. I seem to remember both Battle of the Planets and G-Force from my younger years. Maybe it is a delusion. And maybe it is impossible and better left for a fan site and not wikipedia. Friendfiend29 23:30, Dec 28, 2006 (UTC)
This could answer my question from http://www.totalimagespecialists.com/Gatch/faq.html
Sandy Frank Entertainment produced and aired Battle of the Planets in the late 70's and early to mid-80's; the characters were named Mark, Jason, Tiny, Keyop, and Princess. Most kids just called it G-Force, since that's what the team was called. Further reading tells me that Turner Entertainment redid BotP a bit truer to the translation calling it G-Force: Guardians of Space in the mid to late 80's. Friendfiend29 23:54, Dec 28, 2006 (UTC)
Re-doing this G-Force article
[edit]With all due respect to the Gatchaman/BotP fans and those who've put this page up, I'm in the process of trying to re-do and edit this G-Force article because it is more or less a cut-and-paste from one of the many Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets/G-Force fansites (and trust me, I've seen and read most of them!). As a matter of fact, many non-Gatchaman sites out there cut-and paste from the same Gatchaman fansites and even from each other! It's ridiculous really. Not to mention, some of the information on this "G-Force" adaptation in many of these sites is incorrect and/or dated, and some of them even copy it from each other!!!
I am a BIG fan of the "G-Force adaptation (NOT BotP, but G-Force: Guardians of Space) and one of just a handful of fans in the world most likely, as this adaptation is very obscure and unpopular with those who know about it, namely Gatchaman/BotP fans. I've personally spoken with Gatchaman historians who honestly do know their stuff, especially when it comes to "G-Force" (as some of them know and have spoken with it's producer, the legendary Fred Ladd of "Astro Boy" & "Gigantor" fame and have learned of all the real details behind G-Force: GoS from him), so what I'll be typing up is straight from them. It pains me to STILL see people confuse "Battle of the Planets" with "G-Force: Guardians of Space" and bash it any time they can, without really knowing much of it or why it exists. It also pains me to not be able to own all 85 episodes of this adaptation, as due to it's aforementioned obscurity and unpopularity no one (specifically the owners of this property along with their main cash-cow "Battle of the Planets", Sandy Frank Entertainment) is willing to release more than just a handful of episodes on home video. To perhaps stimulate such a release and show the higher-ups that there are some GoS fans out there, and to put an end to all of this BotP/G-Force confusion, I'll be doing my best in putting together this article.............and hope it lasts here. Later!!! NAMU!!! 06:28, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Kage-Maru87

Merge To Science Ninja Team Gatchaman
[edit]This article should be merged to Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. It is already mentioned on that article and not much more notable information is available. I don't think G-Force is notable enough to have its own article. In Correct (talk) 15:05, 1 April 2014 (UTC)
