Deletion proposal[edit]

An infrequent wiki contributor has proposed the entry for deletion, but without bothering to provide any coherent explanation of why.

The entry is certainly capable of improvement. And it may be on a topic which does not interest the deletionist. Maybe he does not like Russians. None of that amounts to a reason to delete the entry, however. What we already have here is a reasonable entry of stub+ quality. But improvement is certainly desirable (as it is for almost every page in wikipedia).

Wikipedia has eye-watering ambitions for its ultimate(?) scope, and this type of intervention is a time wasting distraction at best, and, to the extent that it persuades potential wikipedia contributors to go forth and ... do something else, it retards the growth and improvement of the project - unless you think that wikipedia has reached the point where it should curb its ambitions be edited back to something more subjectively satisfying.

A more constructive approach could be to address whatever shortcomings the deletionist has identified. On this he has not shared his insights. In this case there are, however, entries on the same topic in wikipedias in other languages. The one which appears to be longest, and which has the most source references is in Russian. While I understand very little Russian, there are millions of people who understand it quite well. Maybe an invitation might be extended on the Project Russia discussion page?

Orphan article message[edit]

Please help this orphan article by adding links to it in related articles and lists. Once it has an incoming link from at least one article or list, the orphan tag can be removed (disambiguation pages, redirects and draft articles do not count). Three or more incoming links are ideal. The Find link tool may help, but not in all cases.
