I quote Bonadea's AFC comment on the sources of twice-declined, never-accepted Draft:GBT Technologies (from this page, which unfortunately will not be viewable for most editors):

Quick source evaluation:

  • Sources 1 and 2 are completely irrelevant. They are articles written by Mansour Khatib and Danny Rittman, respectively, and don't say anything about GBT Technologies.
  • Source 3 is a listing at Bloomberg. It's neither independent nor secondary.
  • Source 4 is a user generated list of more than 1100 companies, including GBTT (because they have added themselves to the list)
  • Source 5 is a press release from the company under their former name, and it says nothing about when it was founded or about the new name so it's unclear what function this source is supposed to fill.
  • Source 6 is a press release about the name change
  • Source 7 is a Bloomberg directory entry for Mansour Khatib
  • Sources 8 and 9 are press releases.

None of the sources is independent and secondary, and none of them does anything to show how the company is notable. bonadea contributions talk 14:21, 21 January 2023 (UTC)}}[reply]

The selection of (claimed) sources, and their numbering, have of course changed to some extent since that time. But some (claimed) sources persist. -- Hoary (talk) 23:35, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The references are currently:

  • "StackPath". www.masstransitmag.com. November 29, 2022.: described above as (1), currently in the article as (1).
  • "Enhance security at mass transit hubs with radio frequency technology | Security Magazine". www.securitymagazine.com.: not listed above, currently in the article as (2). An article written by "Dr. Danny Rittman", who "is CTO of GBT Technologies": contributes nothing to the company's notability. It does say that the company is "a solution crafted to enable the rollout of IoT (Internet of Things), global mesh networks, artificial intelligence and for applications relating to integrated circuit design".
  • "GBT". Bloomberg.: described above as (2), currently in the article as (3).
  • "Biometrics Companies". April 30, 2012.: not listed above, currently in the article as (4). All this says is "GBT Technologies is enabling the rollout of IoT (Internet of Things), global mesh networks, artificial intelligence and for applications relating to integrated circuit design" (which is oddly reminiscent of a description I've read elsewhere).

Allow me to repeat Bonadea (but this time about the article, not the oddly deleted draft): None of the sources is independent and secondary, and none of them does anything to show how the company is notable. -- Hoary (talk) 23:58, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
