Last page move[edit]

Just to justify the last page name move from GP-30 to GP-25. The GP-25 is the base variant the spawned the more recent GP-30, it is the primary design. I will have a comprehensive article about the two written up in a few days. Koalorka (talk) 21:26, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Break action?[edit]

Is GP-25 a break-action weapon? I wonder if it is a mistake, 'couse the text of the article states GP-25 is manually muzzle-loaded. Or is it just me? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Файр (talkcontribs) 11:47, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As noone seems to object I changed action to "single-shot" quite like M203. Файр —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.151.105.192 (talk) 03:53, 18 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GP-30[edit]

I think that the GP 30 deserves its own article —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yaik9a (talkcontribs) 02:50, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lasted version[edit]

The Izhmash catalogue has a page for a newer version known as the GP-34. [1] I would make the necessary changes myself, but I know very little about the GP series grenade launchers. Recommend somebody who is more familiar with them take the reigns on this. Spartan198 (talk) 03:22, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccurate picture[edit]

The main picture for this article is actually a BG-15 launcher, identified from the hole in the grip. BG-15 was predecessor to later GP-25 and GP-30. I don't know how to edit, so someone please change that? 66.185.219.18 (talk) 02:55, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your text.<ref>http://... or the name of an offline source (with page, please).</ref> G_PViB (talk) 20:05, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There just isn't any info out there on the BG-15. It just isn't very well known at all. I KNOW I read somewhere that the BG-15 had a hole in the grip, but that will not cut it here as I know. Inaccurate picture stays, pending further discussion. I'm the same guy who started this subsection. 74.51.57.78 (talk) 19:42, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

BG-15 is a mistake.[edit]

BG-15 is incorrect. The error is caused by the number "6" adopted for the letter "Б" in the Cyrillic alphabet in naming GRAU. BG-15 is actually the GP-25 designation GRAU 6Г15 (6G15). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tall Tree (talkcontribs) 16:02, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Slight inaccuracy on main image text (need advice on how to best reprise the image text)[edit]

The current text for the main image is:

40 mm GP-25 under barrel grenade launcher mounted on an AK-74 assault rifle (airsoft replicas).

Technically this is not entirely correct, since only the grenade launcher itself in the image is an airsoft replica, but the rifle is not.

The rifle in the image, is instead a model/mockup, which is identical to the real thing in weight and dimensions (i.e. externally identical, but non-functional). This can be seen by the "ММГ" engraving on the receiver. The rifle is either factory made as a non-functional model, or (quite likely) a real military produktion AK-74, which has since been legally deactivated (i.e. made non-functional, and the engravings prove that this specimen has all the legal paperwork).

So here comes my question: How best can the image text be rephrased/rewritten to correct this slight inaccuracy? I myself am unsure. W1ndStrik3 YT (talk) 05:07, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I added that the GP-25 is an airsoft example, but if the rifle itself is identical visually to the real thing so there is no need to mention that for the article, as its not the topic. Instead such information should be applied to the image description on commons (File:Ak74gp35.jpg).--Blockhaj (talk) 11:17, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
