What's the correct spelling of her name?[edit]

he.wiki spells her name as רָדִיר כַּמַאל מְרֵיח with a resh as the first letter of the first name, however her own Twitter spells it ע'דיר כמאל מריח, with an ayin and an apostrophe. Heepman1997 (talk) 13:52, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the first letter is guttural. Sometimes I see it written as Ghadeer. But consensus on this page, based on English language sources, is to spell it Gadeer. Yoninah (talk) 13:58, 5 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First non-Jewish anchor of a Hebrew-language news program[edit]

This statement is certainly untrue, as Lucy Aharish anchored Hebrew-language news programs earlier. The Hebrew version of this article says that Mreeh was the first non-Jewish anchor of the primary Hebrew-language program on a free-broadcast channel (two differences: primary news program, and free-broadcast channel), which is more believable, but I'm not sure such a detailed description should be in the lead. A good source would also be appreciated: The Jerusalem Post source given in the article says that she was the first woman to anchor Channel 1's Hebrew-langauge news edition specifically, but the language is not so clear, evidenced by the fact that another editor of this article thought it meant something else. —Ynhockey ^(Talk) 00:40, 24 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. Mreeh clearly isn’t the first non-Jewish woman to present an Hebrew-language Israeli news program, but she is the first Druze woman. I made the change. See Lucy Aharish for more info. —ThorstenNY (talk) 15:31, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
