Should be Gadi Eisenkot. It is true that the name sounds bad in German but the name's origin is unclear, probably a twist of a Moroccan name (Hebrew language paper wrote tons on in yesterday). The best source we have in my opinion is official IDF site in English, currently it says Deputy Chief of the General Staff: Major General Gadi Eisenkot. Oppose – it should be moved to Gadi Eizenkot per WP:COMMONNAME. Looking at the various spelling of his name in the Israeli English-language media, the results are in the table below; Eizenkot is used 78% of the time. In ictu oculi – I'm not sure why you mentioned the Jerusalem Post as supporting Eisencott, as it uses that spelling only 0.06% of the time. Cheers, Number 57 14:58, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Pinging @In ictu oculi, Yossimgim, and DGtal: for reconsideration of the evidence below – spelling with "c" instead of "k" account for just 235 of the 37,505 mentions in the press (0.62%). The real question is whether "s" or "z" should be used in the first half of the surname, with the z version apparently more popular by over 3:1. The discussion is closed, but i'd like to add another remark that there is another source that claims there is a factory in Germany called Eizenkot (I dont know which spelling caus the source is in Hebrew), manufacturing Iron and that the name means "Iron Body": [1] --Midrashah (talk) 13:26, 12 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I could tag them, but tagging all would perhaps mar the article. Essentially, I would suggest that all non-referenced sentences could benefit from the addition of RS refs. With special attention given to those that have BLP implications.
