Hebrew Name Meanings

[edit]

So the name meanings listed are "Happy God; Father in rejoicing; a father's joy; cheerful; joyful". I don't speak Hebrew but I'm studying it and I think some of these would be incorrect. To mean "Happy God" it would need to be spelled Gael, as a contraction of Gale/Gail and El. The meanings "Father in rejoicing" and "a father's joy" would require Ab for Abba (father), hence the name Abigail with that meaning. Can someone with a greater knowledge of Hebrew confirm this?---Puff (talk) 05:20, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
