Odd[edit]

151.76.226.126 in Italy is behind the bad English and disjointed, odd passage. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.12.160 (talk) 08:38, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bad science and bad history[edit]

The plot of the film is unhistorical. It seems that Galileo never met Bruno. The telescope has improved considerably since the time of Galileo.

I am not sure what the "extreme accuracy" was.
Galileo said he made a telescope himself, using "the theory of refraction". In fact, he seems to have used trial and error. The theory of refraction was not published widely in Europe until much later, by Descartes. I am not sure that Galileo could read Arabic or Persian, possibly used by Ibn Sahl.

Liliana Cavani[edit]

Liliana had many conflicts of interest in this case.
