The article names Western Ganga Dynasty and Ganga Dynasty (Western) having different contents, are conflicting to each other. Can the author of this new article, explain the rationale of this name/article, and how this is different from Western Ganga Dynasty ? Thanks - KNM Talk 00:13, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, this article makes reference to two scholars and the book Kongudesa Rajakkal(shown below) who/which have been already cited in the FA-Western Ganga Dynasty and its subarticle Origin of Western Ganga Dynasty, claiming a Tamil Nadu origin of the founders of the dynasty. In addition, the existing FA provides citations that the founders of the kingdom may have been from Karnataka or from Ananthapur in Andhra Pradesh, which this article conviniently ignores.

Secondly, this article completely ignores that the kings ruled from modern Karnataka, patronised Kannada language and literature, for which sufficient citations have been provided in the FA. In short, the author has completely ignored the basic wiki requirement of a balanced article, from a vareity of sources and used a limited number of sources to project the kings and the kingdom as a Tamil one. This article needs to go for deletion.
