A Bold Edit[edit]

The article was a deadend ( WP:DEP) and has also been tagged for cleanup. The information was not well organised, with a good deal of repitition, and covered:

  • The Ganiga Caste
  • General topics in Hinduism
  • Vegetable Oils

Since Wikipedia has articles on points 2 and 3 I have removed a lot of material and tried to focus on just the caste. Help in completing this work -from the original author or anyone else - would be much appreciated! Cje 09:52, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage Relations :[edit]

The Nagaratthars can marry the Gandlas and the relations holds good. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.166.255.63 (talk) 16:44, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking for information on the Ganiga tribe in Papua, New Guinea, featured in three films by the Leahy Brothers -- First Contact, Black Harvest, and another. Instead I googled Ganiga and found the info I needed at some of those sites. So this post should be updated to include that real existing tribe, who are not associated with the ganiga in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.243.43.116 (talk) 15:49, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stubbed[edit]

I have stubbed the article. The only source, which was cited once, was unreliable and the quality of writing was dreadful etc. I noticed the claim that this is the community from which Narendra Modi comes. If that is in fact true then this article should be a redirect, probably to Ghanchi. - Sitush (talk) 18:42, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
